What we do
Northwest Neighborhoods CDC, formerly Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization (DSCDO), is a nonprofit 501(c)3 serving Cudell, Detroit Shoreway and Edgewater in Cleveland, Ohio. DSCDO was founded in 1973 to catalyze development in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood.
Today, the organization provides comprehensive community development services to nearly 28,000 residents.
In addition, our Real Estate Development department develops affordable housing and mixed-use projects. Our Property Management department provides stewardship and maintenance for 16 buildings owned by Northwest Neighborhoods. Our Administrative Services staff provide accounting, HR and other core services, with a specialization in tax credit and affordable housing finance.
